A shop in Cumberland County is helping one teen raise money to help those facing pediatric cancer.
Duck Donuts in Mechanicsburg is selling a special donut this October.
It was created by a local teen, Lily Jordan. She is Four a Diamonds kid and was diagnosed with osteosarcoma when she was 13.
She’s helping the Penn State Crossfit Club raise money for THON, a 46-hour dance marathon that fundraises to help families facing pediatric cancer.
Lily created her own custom donut, on sale at the Duck Donuts Mechanicsburg location this October.
“It’s cinnamon sugar with Penn State inspired sprinkles, a chocolate drizzle on top, and every time it’s purchased this month 50 percent of the proceeds will go back to Penn State University Cross Fit Club’s fundraising efforts,” explained Kristin Kellum.
Duck Donuts is also hosting a Sweet 16 party for Lily on Saturday, Oct. 20.
Fifteen percent of all donut sales that day will also be donated to PSU Cross Fit Club.
