America’s Best Customer Service brands were selected based on an independent survey from a vast sample of more than 25,000 U.S. customers who have either made purchases, used services, or gathered information about products or services in the past three years. Customers were asked whether they would recommend brands to friends or family, as well as assess brands in the following areas: quality of communication, professional competence, range of services, customer focus, and accessibility. A total of 160,000 customer evaluations were collected.
“Along with delivering quality donuts, providing excellent customer service in a safe, family-friendly environment has always been a top priority throughout our franchise locations,” said Russ DiGilio, Duck Donuts CEO and founder. “We are very honored to have earned the #1 spot on the list, and proud of our franchisees who are clearly living out our core values of delighting our guests and treating them as family with the utmost respect.”
The results provided information about brick & mortar, online retailers, and service providers from 160 categories.
ABOUT DUCK DONUTS
Duck Donuts was founded in 2006 by Russ DiGilio in Duck, North Carolina. His intention? To solve a family vacation problem: “Our family wanted a place to buy warm, delicious, made-to-order donuts, and when we couldn’t find one, we decided to start our own.”
By 2011, Duck Donuts had expanded to four Outer Banks locations and the donut business was so successful that DiGilio was continuously approached about franchise opportunities by fans who begged for a Duck Donuts in their community. The first franchise opened in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 2013, and there are now 96 open franchise locations in the U.S., one international and more than 145 additional contracts in 27 states and three countries.
